Alción is a production company for art and cinema, engaged in the realization of research and arthouse films, art exhibitions and high-profile cultural projects. It was born from the experience of Luca Bradamante, producer for contemporary art and promoter of audiovisual content such as art films, video installations and experimental performances.
The name of the company, Alción, is inspired by the events of a ship narrated by Alvaro Mutis and metaphorically evokes its spirit. Alción is a Tramp Steamer, a low tonnage ship that travels from port to port looking for occasional cargo to transport wherever it may be. The Alción represents the desire to set out to discover the unknown, embarking on a journey oriented towards deciphering the signs that, alluding to something greater, give meaning to the events of life.

WELCOME PALERMO (2019), artist’s documentary film directed by Masbedo, finalist at the 2020 Donatello Awards, presented at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, the Festival International du Film sur l’Art in Montreal, and Lo Schermo dell’Arte International Festival of Contemporary Cinema and Art.
HIPERVISUALITY. MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE (2019), exhibition at Palazzo Dugnani in Milan with video works by renowned artists such as Julian Rosefeldt, Isaac Julien, and Yang Fudong.
PROTOCOL 90/6 (2018), video installation by Masbedo presented at the Manifesta Biennale 2018 and at the MAXXI Museum in Rome in 2023, internationally acclaimed and reviewed by the most prestigious media outlets, including the Financial Times, The Guardian, and Domus.
